János Szabó: my father started dealing with farm animals at the end of the 80s.
Our family was already there in the old market on Széchenyi Square, at the temporary market in Simor János Street, and now we are also there at the new Esztergom Market.
It can be said that we have been dealing with animals and meat production through generations.
We used to have our own farm, but now our pigs are rented.
The other raw materials are obtained from producers, livestock farms and slaughterhouses.
I mostly deal with market sales, while my brother Ferenc, who is a master butcher, makes the products together with our other colleagues.
By the way, on my day off, I also gladly take part in the process of work.
Our butcher shop is located in Eötvös street in Esztergom, where we also have a sample shop.
At the new Esztergom Market, we are selling our usual, high-quality finished products, such as smoked ham, sausage, salami, cold meats, buttered liver, crackling, traditional salami and “Parma tourist”, etc.
The feedback I received from my current customers is that they are looking forward to the opening of the new market and are happy that they will finally be able to purchase the ingredients for their cooking in a dignified way.
In addition to my usual customers, I expect young people and the new customers who will come here because they can get everything they need for cooking in one place.
I see a future in the new market, looking forward to seeing every customer!
